$10,000 win helps more West Aussies learn to swim
A Piara Waters local is one of the latest winners in Royal Life Saving WA’s Royalty VIP Club Loyal Supporter Bonus Draw, taking home a $10,000 prize!
Sasi, who only joined the program weeks before the draw, couldn’t believe that she had won, let alone so quickly!
Having moved to Western Australia from north-east Thailand five years ago, she has never had the opportunity to learn to swim but is happy to be able to help others through her support.
Living in Piara Waters, she was referred to Royal Life Saving WA’s multicultural swimming lessons in Cannington – a program that helps people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds gain the skills they need to stay safe around water.
Like all funds raised through the generosity of Royalty VIP Club supporters, Sasi’s monthly contribution directly supports the WA Swim and Survive Fund – a program that gives at-risk children and adults across the state access to swimming and water safety lessons tailored to their needs, often at little to no cost.
In WA, 21% of primary school-aged children miss out on swimming lessons each year. Around 2,000 of these are at the highest risk of never learning, including children from low-income families, multicultural and Indigenous backgrounds, regional and remote areas, and those living with disabilities. These groups face a much higher risk of drowning, making access to swimming lessons essential.
The WA Swim and Survive Fund helps remove these barriers, providing the skills and confidence needed to help prevent drowning and save lives. Every raffle ticket sold via the Royalty VIP Club expands the fund’s reach.
Join the Royalty VIP Club today for your chance to win and help give more Western Australians the chance to Swim and Survive.
