Kids at Warmun Early Learning Centre learn about the adventures of Dippy Duck Do you remember our resident Rubber Duck, Dippy Duck?

Well, he's back and recently went on a trip to Warmun Early Learning Centre with Remote Pool Manager Steve Waterman and Swimming Instructor Aisyah Waterman to tell the kids about his adventures.

Sharing stories of water safety is not only beneficial to the kids but also their parents. By understanding the potential dangers that can occur in and around the water and how important parental supervision, everyone can learn something they didn't know before.

Everyone not only loved the book reading but also the goodie bags which were complete with a water bottle, towel, bouncing ball and some extra books containing more stories about what Dippy Duck and his friends get up to at the pool.

Steve Waterman, Warmun Remote Pool Manager said, ''It's important that we continue to reinforce water safety messaging in a way that parents and their kids understand and relate to.'' Dippy Duck is such a loved character so it's nice to have the inflatable to bring his story to life.''

The adventures of Dippy Duck have really got everyone excited about learning more about water safety, so much so that a 'mums and bubs’ session is already in the works.

The talk will work to further develop water safety knowledge of parents and caregivers to make sure they are practicing the right water safety protocols which will improve their duty of care standards for their kids enjoying themselves in the water.
