Pilbara Aquatic Festival

The Pilbara Aquatic Festival will be running from Wednesday 10th November to Thursday 11th November 2021.  The festival will see over 180 children from 12 communities throughout the Pilbara visit Port Hedland to participate and showcase their swimming and lifesaving skills.

Pool Lifesaving & Professional Development

RLSSWA will present a fun interactive workshop providing techniques on how to incorporate lifesaving events into school swimming carnivals.  Open to school teachers, aquatic centres and sport club volunteers.

When: Wednesday, 10th November 2021, 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Where: South Hedland Aquatic Centre

Pilbara Spirit Swimming & Lifesaving Carnival

The Pilbara Spirit Swimming & Lifesaving Carnival invites school students in Year's 5 and 6 to participate in swimming and pool lifesaving events, with the emphasis on fun whilst developing swimming and water safety skills and knowledge.

This carnival gives Aboriginal children in the Pilbara an opportunity to participate in a carnival that builds on the success of the Swim for Fruit Program and Swim & Survive Program and gives children additional opportunities to practice their lifesaving skills in a fun and engaging environment.

When: Thursday, 11th November 2021, 9:00am - 1:00pm lunch will be provided 

Where: South Hedland Aquatic Centre
