REQUIREMENTS TO TEACH SWIM AND SURVIVE

Swim teachers that are employed to teach the Swim and Survive program must be properly inducted and informed on all aspects of the Swim and Survive program. This should include but is not limited to:

• Pathway progression from Little Wonders to Bronze Star
• Program curriculum framework
• Thorough understanding of the skills and knowledge within the curriculum
• Assessment ‘must see’ criteria
• Links to the National Swimming and Water Safety Framework
• Level connection to National Benchmarks for Swimming and Water Safety
• Teaching resources available to assist with lesson planning and activities
