EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
It is essential that all staff delivering the Swim and Survive program are fully versed in the emergency procedures of the venue where they are conducting the program. It is the responsibility of program management and swim teachers (cohesively) to ensure students know what to do in an emergency and that all procedures are well practised.
If a swim teacher is working across multiple venues, it is important to understand the emergency procedures for each venue. If emergency procedures change or are adapted for any reason it is important to communicate these to all staff, update relevant documents and practise the procedures.
