Gifts in Wills

Could you leave a gift in your will?

We know that family is most important to you. When you write your will, you can ensure your loved ones don’t miss out.

If you can include a gift to Royal Life Saving WA we will continue to ensure no child misses out – it’s time to enable every child to Swim and Survive, now and in the future – a gift of as little as 1% of your estate will save lives.

Our goal is to make sure no child misses out on essential Swim and Survive skills – we believe all children should be able to swim 50 metres and stay afloat for two minutes – a benchmark for survival.

Give the gift of swimming

Swimming pools, dams, lakes, rivers, beaches and billabongs are a symbol of our Western Australian identity, we provide vital Swim and Survive training each year for all children to stay safe and thrive in water.

Legacy gifts will be directed to the Swim and Survive Fund, ensuring we can reach those children that are currently missing out. If you would prefer your gift to support a different aspect of our work, please contact us to ensure we can execute your wishes.

Your gift will help us achieve our vision of a water-loving nation free from drowning.

Together we can make sure no child misses out

Gifts received from wills are directed to the Swim and Survive Fund where your wishes can live on and ensure children who are missing out on swimming lessons can be reached.

We can allocate funds to support a particular region or town within WA and hope to discover the stories behind these important connections, whether they are from your own lived experiences or as a memorial to your predecessors.

Our earliest recorded bequest here in WA was from Fred Curran, President of the Royal Life Saving Society Western Australia 1931-1964. When he died in 1964 he left $300 to the society which was greatly appreciated.

Your legacy will be joining our journey to teach all WA children to swim and stay safe around water, particularly those at risk, in perpetuity.

A valued supporter from Coral Bay left his estate to Royal Life Saving WA, and we are dedicating those funds to support Swim and Survive lessons in the area he was connected to. His legacy will be that in Coral Bay, no child misses out because they can’t afford lessons. The Mid West/Gascoyne Region had the highest rate of drownings in WA between 2009-2019, highlighting the need for greater water safety education and training in the region.

We can’t wait to hear your story, if there is something in particular you would like to support with a gift in your will, please do get in touch.

Thank you for supporting our vision of a water-loving nation free from drowning.
