Making swimming and water safety accessible for all

Royal Life Saving WA is committed to preventing drowning in our state, through educating all Western Australians in how to keep themselves and others safe in, on and around water.

In many communities, swimming and water safety education is simply not accessible. Children and adults experiencing social or economic disadvantage, from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, affected by disabilities, or from neglected or remote areas, are more likely to miss out – making them extremely vulnerable to drowning. These groups are the focus of the Royal Life Saving WA Swim and Survive Fund.

With your help, we can ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn vital swimming and water safety skills that could one day save their lives.

Aims of the Fund

The Swim and Survive Fund aims to foster strong, collaborative partnerships with the aquatics industry and community groups that work with at-risk communities whilst ensuring that swimming and water safety programs are tailored to be appropriate to meet the specific needs of at-risk groups.
