Pool lifesaving allows people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to continue to develop their swimming and lifesaving skills and stay active in the water, with pathways from community lifesaving and clubs to international championships.
While many enjoy the challenge of sport competition, pool lifesaving skills and activities are a great way to add variety to swimming and water safety programs, for lifeguard training and development, as part of undertaking a lifesaving award, or as a fun, challenging and interesting alternative to squads and competitive swimming.

Pool Lifesaving 'Have a Go Days' or Development Sessions are a great way to learn about this unique sport including how to conduct water rescues, develop swimming skills and learn new lifesaving skills in a safe and fun environment.

Australian Pool Life Saving Championships
The APLSC brings athletes, teams, volunteers and staff together from across Australia for three days of competition both in the water (speed events) and out of water (initiative tests and CPR).
